People who work in teaching, training and quality assurance often look for a professional membership that is public, time-limited and easy to check. QAHE membership is the individual route offered by the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education. It is membership of an educational organization, not institutional accreditation of a school, and not a licence to teach. Used accurately, it can support professional recognition beside a CV, a staff page or a conference biography.
Individual membership is personal. The member is listed in the QAHE network and receives a digital certificate for the membership year. International Affiliates (IAQAHE) are open to those who belong to a teaching, training or education association in the country of residence, or who present evidence of appropriate qualifications, at US$80 plus 5% per year. Members (MQAHE) hold a doctoral degree in education, training, teaching or a related field, at US$120 plus 5% per year. Associates (AQAHE) hold a master’s degree, or two years of graduate study, in those fields, at US$150 plus 5% per year. Institutional Teacher Affiliates (ITAQAHE) are teachers in education and training at a two-year institution, at US$200 plus 5% per year. The 5% is the online payment processing charge. The category must match the file. A master’s holder is not listed as MQAHE. A school is not listed as a person.
Professional membership of QAHE gives access to QAHE articles and newsletters, listing with a digital certificate, a 5% discount on QAHE certified awards and honorary titles, and the option to publish up to three education-related articles on FrontlineDigest.com in each membership year. Members who later show outstanding work in education, training, coaching or teaching may be considered for Fellow status. Networking is described as directory contact, events, campus-ambassador volunteering and social channels. That is professional recognition of the individual against the published category. It is not accreditation of their employer. It is not online course accreditation or a programmatic badge for a class they happen to teach. Institutions that want a directory listing apply separately for institutional or programmatic review.
When a CV refers to membership of educational organizations, the honest line for QAHE is the category and the year: Member (MQAHE), or the correct abbreviation, International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education, with the year. It should not say “QAHE-accredited professor” or “QAHE-recognised university” unless the institution itself appears on https://www.qahe.org/list-of-accredited-institutions/. QAHE membership does not replace a national teaching licence, a medical or counselling register, or a public-university chair. Honorary doctorates and professorships are separate awards with separate fees and rules. Membership is not an automatic step into those awards, though members receive the published 5% discount if they later apply and are eligible.
The route is aimed at teachers, trainers, quality officers, researchers and education consultants who want checkable professional recognition linked to a documented degree or association. Doctoral applicants in education or a related field may fit MQAHE. Practising teachers at two-year institutions may fit ITAQAHE. Affiliates who already belong to a national teaching association may fit IAQAHE.
