Outstanding Educator Award 2025-2026

Introduction

The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher Education (QAHE) is excited to announce the Outstanding Educator Award for the 2025-2026 academic year. This prestigious award aims to recognize and celebrate exceptional contributions made by educators who enhance student learning and development in impactful ways.

Objectives of the Award

The Outstanding Educator Award is designed with several key objectives in mind. First and foremost, it seeks to acknowledge the significant contributions of visionary individuals who optimize students' learning potential through innovative educational programs. By celebrating the unique and vital role played by professional educators, this award highlights their influence in nurturing various aspects of student development. Additionally, the award aims to foster a culture that encourages the pursuit of excellence and lifelong learning, which are essential for maintaining a competitive advantage among leading international education institutions.

Award Criteria

To be considered for the Outstanding Educator Award, nominees will be evaluated based on specific criteria. Teaching excellence is paramount, with a focus on demonstrating outstanding practices, innovative methodologies, and effective use of contemporary research. Additionally, nominees should provide evidence of their research contributions and how these efforts advance the field of education. It is also important to highlight notable professional contributions and recognitions within the educational community.

Application Process

Eligible applicants are invited to submit a comprehensive teaching portfolio, which must include several key components. A Table of Contents should outline the sections of the portfolio, accompanied by a detailed Curriculum Vitae that lists qualifications, positions, and experience. The core of the submission will be the Teaching Statement, which should not exceed 3,000 words and include the following: (a) A self-reflective statement outlining values, beliefs, goals, and strategies in teaching; (b) Evidence of educational activities and accomplishments that demonstrate a positive impact on student learning and educational leadership; A summary of plans for enhancing teaching effectiveness and influence on student learning.

What you would receive

Awardees will receive a Digital Certificate and a profile listing on the QAHE website, as well as coverage in our news announcements, highlighting their achievements.

Application Fee

An application fee of US$400 + 5% processing fee will be invoiced upon eligibility confirmation.
