UNIORLANDO – University of Orlando Receives QAHE Institutional Accreditation

Sep 18, 2026

The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) is pleased to announce that UNIORLANDO – University of Orlando, also presented publicly as Uniorlando Christian University at https://uniorlando.com, has been awarded institutional accreditation by QAHE.

The decision follows review of the information published on the institution’s official website, including its identity as a religious higher-education provider, its fully online delivery model, its programme portfolio in Christian education and ecclesiastical studies, and the regulatory statement it publishes concerning Florida law.

UNIORLANDO states that it was founded in 2017 and that in 2023 it launched Uniorlando Christian University as the group’s arm dedicated to the sciences of religion. The institution describes its purpose with the motto “Connecting Knowledge, Transforming Lives” and presents itself as a religious institution of higher education whose identity is central to its mission and values. Instruction is described as 100% online, with an international certificate, global networking, and a student body that can study without attending a physical campus.

The published postgraduate portfolio is concentrated in Christian education, theology, ecclesiastical administration, and Christian counselling. Programmes listed on the site include a postdoctoral programme in Christian Education and Ecclesiology; doctorates in Ecclesiastical Administration and Christian Leadership and in Christian Education and Ecclesiology; and master’s programmes in Christian Education and Ecclesiology, Theology and Ecclesiology, Ecclesiastical Administration and Christian Leadership, and several pathways in Christian counselling that combine spirituality with health, neuroscience, or psychoanalysis and religiosity. A further master’s pathway addresses religious studies, religious liberty, and ecclesiastical administration. That concentration is consistent with the institution’s stated religious character.

UNIORLANDO publishes a clear statement on Florida regulation. It reports that the Commission for Independent Education of the State of Florida accepted its annual religious declaration under Section 1005.06(1)(f) of the Florida Statutes, and that it received a letter of exemption for a defined period. The same page states that all diplomas issued by the institution will include a religious modifier, in line with that filing. QAHE records this as the institution’s own public account of its status. A religious exemption is not the same as a Florida CIE licence to operate as a non-religious independent college, and QAHE accreditation does not convert one into the other.

The website also records full accreditation from IAO for UNIVERSITY OF ORLANDO UNIORLANDO INC. and association with the American Association for Higher Education (AAHEA). Those marks sit beside the new QAHE listing. They are not a substitute for it, and QAHE does not treat them as national degree-granting authority.

Leadership is publicly associated with Rector Dr Raphael Bispo Milhomens. The institution highlights academic writing on distance-education faculty development, including a published discussion of teacher formation for e-learning. That emphasis on online pedagogy is relevant to a provider whose entire taught offer is distance-based.

QAHE’s decision applies only to UNIORLANDO – University of Orlando / Uniorlando Christian University as presented at https://uniorlando.com. It does not automatically cover separately branded campuses, group entities, or other institutions that use a similar “Orlando” name. Readers should verify the current listing on www.qahe.org.

QAHE accreditation is an institutional quality-assurance process. It does not confer the legal authority to grant qualifications, does not replace Florida or other U.S. state authorisation, and is not United States Department of Education or CHEA-recognised regional accreditation. Status is time-limited and subject to review at renewal.

QAHE congratulates UNIORLANDO – University of Orlando on this accreditation and on the public presentation of its mission, programme structure, and regulatory position.
