QAHE Grants Full Accreditation to UCN European Programmes – Graduate Business University

The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher Education (QAHE) is pleased to announce that UCN European Programmes – Graduate Business University has been granted Full Accreditation.

Headquartered in Innsbruck, Austria, with a branch campus in Paris, France, UCN European Programmes operates as the European campus of Universidad Central de Nicaragua (UCN). The institution specialises in the delivery of high-quality distance and online Master’s and Doctoral programmes in business, management, and related disciplines.

Following a comprehensive evaluation of its Self-Evaluation Report, institutional documentation, faculty qualifications, and quality assurance systems, QAHE concluded that UCN European Programmes meets the required standards for institutional accreditation in distance and online higher education. The institution demonstrated strong governance under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Berchtold, supported by a highly qualified international faculty with extensive academic and professional experience. Its well-developed e-learning infrastructure and Learning Management System were also noted as key strengths.

In addition, UCN European Programmes already holds accreditation from the CONIES-ICHE Board of Accreditation and maintains recognition from several other reputable quality assurance bodies. These existing credentials, combined with the institution’s clear commitment to continuous improvement and alignment with international quality standards, supported QAHE’s decision to grant Full Accreditation.

This accreditation affirms that UCN European Programmes maintains appropriate standards in governance, academic delivery, faculty quality, student support, and institutional effectiveness. It serves as formal recognition of the institution’s efforts to provide quality distance education at the postgraduate level.
