QAHE Awards Honorary Professor of Practice to Dr. Saliya Udapitiya

We are excited to announce that Dr. Saliya Udapitiya has been awarded the Honorary Professor of Practice (HPoP) in Management by Kennedy University and the Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE). This prestigious recognition highlights Dr. Udapitiya's extensive contributions to the field of management, particularly in supply chain management.

Dr. Udapitiya holds multiple qualifications, including a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) and an MBA from the University of Northampton. As the Director of Colour Coatings Lanka Pvt Ltd, he has applied his expertise to enhance operational performance in the manufacturing sector.

His research focuses on the concept of Antifragile Supply Chain Management, exploring how organizations can thrive amidst volatility and uncertainty. Drawing from Nassim Taleb's groundbreaking work, Dr. Udapitiya's research aims to uncover how supply chains can not only withstand disruptions but also use them as opportunities for growth.

The impact of his work is particularly relevant in today’s rapidly changing business environment, where organizations are increasingly recognizing the importance of resilience and adaptability. Dr. Udapitiya’s findings contribute valuable insights into how Sri Lankan industries can adopt antifragile practices, enhancing their competitiveness on a global scale.
