The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) is excited to announce a new partnership with the Nzubo Education Standards and Accreditations Board (NESAB) through a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This collaboration aims to enhance accreditation processes and quality assurance measures across educational institutions, ensuring high standards of educational excellence.
The MOU outlines a cooperative framework focused on several key areas, including the development and implementation of shared accreditation and quality assurance standards. Both QAHE and NESAB are committed to fostering mutual recognition of these standards to facilitate smoother acceptance of accredited programs and institutions within their respective networks.
In addition, QAHE and NESAB will jointly promote events, training, and activities related to quality education using their online platforms, including social media, newsletters, and websites. This initiative aims to reach a broader audience and engage stakeholders in building a more robust educational quality assurance environment.
The partnership will further involve the exchange of expertise and best practices in the field of education quality assurance. Opportunities for staff exchanges, joint workshops, webinars, and conferences will be made available to enhance professional development for both organizations’ members.
As part of this partnership, Dr. Hibeenzu Bornwell, CEO of NESAB, has been invited to become a QAHE Honorary Fellow. This recognition acknowledges his significant contributions to education standards and quality assurance. Dr. Bornwell will receive a digital award and be featured on the QAHE website.
Both organizations are eager to implement the MOU, with designated representatives overseeing its execution and meeting regularly to discuss progress, challenges, and future opportunities. The agreement is set to last for five years, with the possibility of extension upon mutual consent.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in QAHE's and NESAB's commitment to fostering educational quality, ensuring that institutions meet the necessary benchmarks for academic excellence. For more information, please visit www.qahe.org.
