The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE), jointly with the American University of Business and Social Sciences (AUBSS), is pleased to announce that Dr. Marvin Mondale Ama-Amadasun, FIIM, has been awarded the Honorary Professorship in Information Systems and Cybersecurity.
The title recognises a record that combines graduate study in information systems with professional work in cybersecurity, software quality and data leadership. In June 2016, Monarch Business School Switzerland admitted him to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Information Systems and Technology. In July 2014, the same school admitted him to the Master of Philosophy in Business Research. He later completed a Master of Business Administration in Cybersecurity at the Swiss School of Business and Management Geneva (SSBM Geneva) and, in July 2021, fulfilled the requirements of SSBM Geneva’s Certified IT Cybersecurity Professional course.
His professional certifications include the BCS Information Systems Examination Board Foundation Certificate in Software Testing (ISTQB), awarded on 31 March 2010; the ITIL Version 3 Foundation examination (EXIN, 27 October 2009); and the PRINCE2 Foundation examination (APM Group, 12 February 2010). He has also completed vendor training in access-control software with Kaba GmbH while associated with Outsourcingprofis Inc.
In November 2017 he was elected Fellow of the Institute of Information Management (membership no. FIIM-001206). In November 2021 he was nominated under the MIT CDOIQ Programme as Country Chief Data Officer Ambassador (CCDOA) for Nigeria for 2021/2023, in connection with Ama-Amadale Global Systems.
The Honorary Professorship is an honorific title jointly issued by QAHE and AUBSS. It is not a salaried chair, not a licence to practise as a professor under Swiss or Nigerian public-university law, and not an academic degree. It does not convert the underlying awards into state-recognised qualifications in any jurisdiction. It records the recognition by QAHE and AUBSS of Dr. Ama-Amadasun’s documented work in information systems, cybersecurity and data-officer leadership.
