Sep 21, 2026 The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) is pleased to announce that the Association of Chartered Loss Prevention Specialists of Canada (ChLPS-Canada) has been awarded institutional accreditation. ChLPS-Canada is a federally incorporated not-for-profit professional body based in Windsor, Ontario. It was established to advance the practice of loss prevention, asset protection, and corporate security through education, certification pathways, membership, and the promotion of professional standards.

The Association of Chartered Loss Prevention Specialists of Canada provides a structured professional framework for the education, certification, recognition, and continuing development of Loss Prevention practitioners. Its progressive certification pathway includes the Certified Loss Prevention Associate (CLPA™), Certified Loss Prevention Officer (CLPO™), Certified Loss Prevention Manager (CLPM™), Certified Loss Prevention Auditor (CLPAud™), and Chartered Loss Prevention Specialist (ChLPS™), representing progressive levels of professional knowledge, competence, leadership, and specialization.

Supporting these certifications are professional education and development programs designed to strengthen capability across Loss Prevention, asset protection, retail security, investigations, risk management, security management, business continuity, organizational resilience, and related disciplines.

ChLPS Canada also provides structured membership opportunities for students, practitioners, experienced professionals, certified specialists, and corporate organizations, supported by continuing professional development, professional networking, knowledge sharing, industry engagement, and career development opportunities.

The Association promotes contemporary, business focused Loss Prevention practice and integrates relevant principles drawn from recognized international standards and professional frameworks, including those applicable to risk management, supply chain security, business continuity, organizational resilience, compliance, and security management. QAHE’s institutional accreditation recognizes ChLPS-Canada’s quality-assurance arrangements as a professional education and certification body. It does not, by itself, constitute programmatic accreditation of any individual certificate or designation.
