American Management University (AMU) is a nonprofit, international higher education institution dedicated to providing flexible, affordable, and globally accessible education. Founded in 2017 in West Covina, California, AMU began as a private institution serving students in the United States and Vietnam before expanding globally.
In 2024, AMU officially established its nonprofit university status under French jurisdiction, with its headquarters located in Paris, France. The university continues to maintain regional operations in Southern California and, in 2025, opened a second U.S. headquarters in Orem, Utah, which is state-authorized to offer degree programs.
Academic Offerings:
AMU provides programs at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels, with concentrations in business, leadership, education administration, and sports management. The institution offers both coursework-based and validation-based (experiential and research) pathways, enabling professionals to pursue higher education aligned with their experience and career goals.
