Altinbas Cyprus University

Sep 01, 2026 Altınbaş Cyprus University (also known as World Peace University or ALCU) is a higher education institution located in Lefkoşa (Nicosia), Northern Cyprus. Established in 2023 under the auspices of Altınbaş Holding and the shareholders of Altınbaş University, it is a young and dynamic university founded with the ambition of developing into a fifth-generation institution that prioritises student-centred education, research, and modern technological infrastructure.

The University is dedicated to delivering contemporary, high-quality, and innovative education while cultivating leaders committed to global peace, human rights, sustainable development, and social responsibility. Its educational philosophy combines academic excellence with ethical values and civic responsibility, bringing together diverse cultures and perspectives within an interdisciplinary framework. Through both teaching and research, Altınbaş Cyprus University seeks to contribute to the peaceful advancement of individuals and societies.

Academic programmes are offered across several faculties, including the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences; Faculty of Arts; Faculty of Engineering and Architecture; Faculty of Health Sciences; Faculty of Law; and the English Preparatory and Foreign Languages School. Education is provided at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. The University emphasises a modern “smart campus” environment designed to support learning, research, and student development.

International engagement forms an important part of the institution’s strategy. Altınbaş Cyprus University holds membership in UK ENIC and participates in academic networks such as ATLAS, ATHENA, AEHT, and the World Leisure Organization.
