Alson Boo Chun Ngee is a distinguished sustainability and ESG consultant, leadership coach, and social impact practitioner with over 18 years of experience spanning the financial services, alternative investments, and sustainability sectors. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Wealth Growth Consultancy Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based firm established in 2009, where he serves as a licensed financial adviser and risk and compliance director. In addition, he is the founder of SHG Academy, through which he designs and delivers professional education programs focused on financial sustainability, impact investing, and carbon credit analysis.
With a strong foundation in banking and capital markets, Alson began his career in 2006 with Standard Chartered Bank and later joined Bank of East Asia, where he developed expertise in serving high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. Over the years, he expanded his focus from traditional finance into alternative investments and sustainable finance. Since 2016, he has been actively involved in sustainability consulting, helping organizations integrate ESG frameworks, develop responsible investment strategies, and align their operations with global sustainability standards. As a certified lead auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001, he also supports companies in strengthening their governance, risk management, and compliance systems.
Alson is deeply committed to education and capacity building. Through SHG Academy, he has developed and facilitated professional certificate programs in Financial Sustainability and Impact Investing & Carbon Credit, training professionals across Asia in sustainable finance and responsible investment practices. He is also actively engaged in leadership coaching and agile enterprise coaching, supporting organizations and individuals in driving strategic transformation and building resilient leadership capabilities. His work extends beyond corporate consulting into community development, where he serves as a mentor for several educational institutions, including the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), Republic Polytechnic, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and James Cook University.
A lifelong learner and dedicated practitioner, Alson holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Peking University, along with multiple postgraduate qualifications in sustainability, digital transformation, and leadership. He has earned numerous professional certifications in agile coaching, sustainability reporting, impact investing, and organizational development. In recognition of his contributions to the field of management and sustainability education, he was recently conferred the title of Honorary Professor of Practice in Management by Kennedy University.
