The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher Education (QAHE) is pleased to announce that Altınbaş Cyprus University (also known as World Peace University / ALCU) has been awarded institutional accreditation.
Located in Lefkoşa (Nicosia), Northern Cyprus, Altınbaş Cyprus University was established in 2023 under the auspices of Altınbaş Holding and the shareholders of Altınbaş University. As a young and dynamic higher education institution, it was founded with the ambition of developing into a fifth-generation university that places strong emphasis on student-centred education, research, and technological infrastructure.
The University is dedicated to delivering contemporary, high-quality, and innovative education while cultivating leaders committed to global peace, human rights, sustainable development, and social responsibility. Altınbaş Cyprus University offers programmes across a range of academic units, including the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences; Faculty of Arts; Faculty of Engineering and Architecture; Faculty of Health Sciences; Faculty of Law; and the English Preparatory and Foreign Languages School. Education is provided at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. The institution places importance on a modern “smart campus” environment equipped with technological infrastructure designed to support both learning and research.

It maintains membership in organisations such as UK ENIC and participates in academic networks including ATLAS, ATHENA, AEHT, and the World Leisure Organization.
