African Virtual Campus University Successfully Renews QAHE Accreditation

We are thrilled to announce that African Virtual Campus University (AVCU) has successfully renewed its accreditation with the Quality Assurance for Higher Education (QAHE). This renewal is a significant milestone in AVCU's commitment to providing high-quality online education that meets rigorous academic standards.

Founded by a dedicated team of global professionals from the US, UK, and Africa, AVCU has evolved from a bold idea into a leading online educational institution. The university was established to address the unique challenges faced by developing countries, especially in Africa, in accessing higher education.

Since its inception, AVCU has achieved several key milestones. In 2017, the concept of AVCU gained traction through substantial moral and intellectual support, laying the groundwork for future developments. By 2018, initial workshops were conducted to elevate the idea of creating an accredited higher education institution. In 2019, the rebranding of African Virtual Campus into a university was initiated, focusing on professional development and training programs.

A transformative milestone occurred in 2020 with the launch of the BOIMA eLearning platform, which provided virtual classroom options for K-12 and higher education. By 2022, AVCU received accreditation from QAHE and the National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE) of Liberia, allowing it to operate as a recognized online university with hybrid options. Looking ahead to 2024, AVCU is set to launch new academic programs leading to Master’s degrees in Information Security, Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, and Forensic Accounting.

The renewal of QAHE accreditation underscores AVCU's dedication to maintaining high educational standards and ensuring that its programs remain relevant and valuable to students. This achievement reflects the university's ongoing efforts to innovate and enhance the learning experiences of its students.
