Labels such as BBA, MBA, MEM, MHA, MPA, MPH, LLB, LLM, LLD, DBA and MSc are used in some settings as professional designations rather than as degrees under a national higher-education act. That is lawful only if the public documents say so. Silence is not a strategy.
The distinction belongs in study regulations, application forms, study agreements, certificates, and the public-information policy. Quality-assurance review of the provider does not convert a professional designation into a state degree. Completing a thesis and an online defence does not do so either, unless national law says that it does.
Institutions that keep fees low by not seeking country-by-country operating authority should be equally plain about what the graduate is buying. Working learners can accept a professional award. They cannot accept a surprise at the ministry counter.
Partners quoting such institutions should repeat the institution’s own wording. Improving the sentence after the fact helps no one.
