The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) is pleased to announce that Florida Coastal University has renewed its institutional accreditation. The institution, based at 8659 Baypine Road, Suite 308, Jacksonville, Florida, first obtained QAHE institutional accreditation on 18 September 2025. Renewal confirms that QAHE’s review of the current public record continues to support listing for a further defined period.
Florida Coastal University presents itself as a distance-education provider serving working adults and career changers. Its published catalogue is organised around business, computer science and education leadership, with bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral-level offerings delivered fully online, including a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Computer Science, Master’s of Education Leadership, Doctorate of Business Administration, Doctorate of Computer Science and Doctorate of Education Leadership. The university states that study may be taken full-time or part-time, with intakes in September, January and May.
The institution’s own consumer information records that it is provisionally licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education, Florida Department of Education, Licence No. 13279, and that all programmes are offered by distance education.
QAHE’s decision is an institutional quality-assurance decision based on the information published by the university, including its mission of accessible online learning, named academic leadership, published admissions and satisfactory-academic-progress rules, and disclosed associations. It does not separately accredit individual degree titles. Public statements after listing should describe QAHE accreditation as institutional quality assurance and should continue to distinguish it from Florida licensure and from U.S.-recognised regional or national accreditation.
