Association of Chartered Loss Prevention Specialists of Canada

Sep 21, 2026 The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) is pleased to announce that the Association of Chartered Loss Prevention Specialists of Canada (ChLPS-Canada) has been awarded institutional accreditation. ChLPS-Canada is a federally incorporated not-for-profit professional body based in Windsor, Ontario. It was established to advance the practice of loss prevention, asset protection, and corporate security through education, certification pathways, membership, and the promotion of professional standards.

The Association offers a staged certification framework for practitioners, including the Certified Loss Prevention Associate (CLPA), Certified Loss Prevention Officer (CLPO), Certified Loss Prevention Manager (CLPM), Certified Loss Prevention Auditor (CLPAud), and Chartered Loss Prevention Specialist (ChLPS). It also provides membership grades and continuing professional development for individuals and corporate members. Its programmes are aligned by the Association with selected ISO frameworks in risk management, supply-chain security, and business continuity.

QAHE’s institutional accreditation recognises ChLPS-Canada’s quality-assurance arrangements as a professional education and certification body. It does not, by itself, constitute programmatic accreditation of any individual certificate or designation. QAHE congratulates the Association of Chartered Loss Prevention Specialists of Canada on this achievement and looks forward to its continued contribution to professional training in loss prevention.
