Pure Mind Wellness

Sep 18, 2026 Pure Mind Wellness is a privately owned distance-learning provider based in St. Ann, Jamaica. It was formed on 27 February 2026. The Head of Institution is Dr. Juwell Harley, PhD. The organisation is not a limited company and, at the time of its QAHE application, did not yet operate a public website; the site was to be launched after accreditation.

The provider offers professional training at a distance. Its application names two areas of provision: an infection prevention and control course delivered through the website, and mental health training delivered through the website or by Zoom. Teaching staff qualifications recorded for the institution are PhD, MEd and BScN. Independent study support named on the application includes Zoom.

Pure Mind Wellness states that its mission is to provide evidence-informed education, training and wellness services that promote mental, physical and emotional well-being, and to equip healthcare professionals, students, individuals and communities with the knowledge and confidence to make informed health decisions. Its stated vision is to become a centre for accessible health and wellness education that supports stronger minds and healthier lives.

The institution describes its teaching as learner-centred, with curriculum review against professional practice, a mix of discussion, demonstration, case work, simulation and technology-supported activity, and assessment through written work, presentations and practical tasks. Student support is described as advising, orientation, mentoring and consultation. The self-evaluation also records planned strengthening of formal curriculum review, faculty development records, use of assessment data and monitoring of student support.

QAHE institutional accreditation applies to Pure Mind Wellness as the named provider. It is a quality-assurance listing. It does not licence nurses or mental-health practitioners, does not replace the Nursing Council of Jamaica or the University Council of Jamaica, and does not confer authority to award university degrees. Awards issued on completion remain certificates of the institution.
