Basic English Course (A1 Level) offered by Talent Academy S.A.S.

The Basic English Course (A1 Level) is a foundational language program designed to equip learners with essential English communication skills at the beginner level. Aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) A1, the course focuses on helping participants develop the ability to understand and use everyday expressions, introduce themselves and others, and engage in simple, practical communication in both personal and professional contexts.

The program is delivered entirely online through an asynchronous learning model, allowing participants to study at their own pace and access course materials with flexibility. This format is particularly suitable for working adults, young learners, and individuals seeking a convenient pathway to improve their English proficiency. The course aims to bridge basic education and the language demands of modern life by fostering both confidence and practical language use.

The curriculum is structured into 17 thematic units, each covering key areas of English vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, and oral communication. Topics include greetings and introductions, personal objects, work and leisure, weekdays and weekends, making questions, people in daily life, weather, vacations, shopping, possibilities, directions, health, hobbies, food and drinks, education, and describing people. Each unit is designed to build progressively on prior knowledge, ensuring a clear and coherent learning journey.

Learning outcomes are carefully mapped to each unit to ensure full alignment between content and expected competencies. By the end of the course, learners are expected to demonstrate basic communicative abilities such as asking and answering personal questions, describing routines, expressing preferences, talking about the weather, requesting help, giving directions, and using simple grammatical structures accurately. This outcome-based design supports both learner progress and program accountability.

Assessment is carried out through a balanced combination of diagnostic, formative, and final evaluation methods. Learners complete questionnaires, observation-based activities, and portfolio tasks through the Moodle learning platform, allowing instructors to monitor progress and measure achievement throughout the course. This approach ensures that assessment is both comprehensive and supportive of learner development.

The course is facilitated by qualified English language instructors with relevant academic backgrounds and experience in teaching adult learners. Participants also benefit from a range of digital learning resources, including video lessons, audio materials, presentations, quizzes, flashcards, and supplementary references. Academic advising and technical support are available to help learners remain engaged and successful throughout the program.

Continuous improvement is an important feature of the program. Feedback from students, instructors, and academic coordinators is regularly collected and reviewed to identify strengths and areas for enhancement. Periodic program review and quality improvement initiatives help ensure that the course remains relevant, effective, and responsive to learner needs.
