On March 30, 2021, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education of the Federal Government of Somalia, in collaboration with key partners including the European Union, Global Partnership for Education (GPE), and Save the Children, officially launched the Alternative Learning Option (Online Platform). This initiative is aimed at supporting over 392,400 primary school children whose education has been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
