Trinidad and Tobago Phlebotomy Training Services Achieves QAHE Accreditation and ISO Certification

Jun 26, 2025

We are pleased to announce that Trinidad and Tobago Phlebotomy Training Services (TTPTS) has successfully acquired accreditation from the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE). This accreditation recognizes TTPTS for its rigorous quality assurance in training programs, ensuring that students receive the highest standard of education. It is important to note that while QAHE acknowledges the quality of training, it does not endorse or approve medical procedures, as it is not equipped to evaluate such practices.

In addition to this accreditation, TTPTS has achieved two prestigious ISO certifications: ISO 21001:2018 and ISO/IEC 17024:2012. The ISO 21001:2018 certification demonstrates the institution's adherence to international standards in educational organizations, ensuring effective training for clinical professionals. The ISO/IEC 17024:2012 certification validates the competency and reliability of its training and assessment processes. Both certifications can be verified online at AQS Certifications, reflecting TTPTS's commitment to transparency and excellence.

Founded in November 2011 by Mr. Everest Noel and Mr. Al Davis, TTPTS specializes in phlebotomy training and is managed by a dedicated Board of Directors. The institution is currently completing the comprehensive quality assurance requirements set by the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) and is pending registration under ACTT.

TTPTS also offers accredited programs through its international affiliate, Phlebotomy Training Services U.K., and is recognized by EduQual, a regulated UK-based awarding body. The Phlebotomy Technician program is accredited under One Awards U.K., ensuring that all certificates issued meet recognized standards of excellence.

QAHE congratulates Trinidad and Tobago Phlebotomy Training Services on these remarkable achievements and looks forward to its continued growth and contributions to the field of allied health education. For inquiries about ISO certifications, please contact awards@qahe.org.
