Honorary Fellowships and the President’s Award are special awards which recognize exceptional contributions to the work of International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) and to the higher education profession at national, regional or international level.
Honorary Fellowships
Recipients of this lifetime honor are referred to as Honorary Fellows and are allowed to use the suffix Hon. FQAHE. An award will only be made to a deserving candidate who can demonstrate both an outstanding contribution to the higher education profession and high professional standards and conduct.
President’s Award
The QAHE President may award the President’s Award to a member for their outstanding contribution to the work of the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE). The Award will only be made to a deserving candidate who can demonstrate both an outstanding contribution to the QAHE and high professional standards and conduct.
Process
We invite nominations of exceptional individuals for the award of our highest honor, Honorary Fellow. Our Honorary Fellowships acknowledge higher education practitioners who have contributed to
higher education generally or to the work of the QAHE. We welcome self-nominations and nominations for peers you think meet any of the following criteria:
- have made distinguished contributions to higher education or the QAHE
- are recognized as eminent figures within the community
- hold influential roles to effect change to support the mission of the QAHE
Nominators are asked to send a current CV of the nominee to the Committee at enquiry@qahe.org. Self-nomination will also be considered.

Fees and Dues
