Emmanuel Uteh TIBI

Dr. Emmanuel Uteh Tibi is a distinguished educator and academic leader renowned for his contributions to vocational and entrepreneurial education in Nigeria. Born on November 4, 1953, in Ekuku-Agbor, Delta State, Nigeria, Dr. Tibi has dedicated over four decades of his life to advancing educational practices and fostering community development.

Dr. Tibi's educational journey began at the Roman Catholic Mission Primary School in Ute-Ogbeje, followed by his secondary education at Local Authority Secondary Modern School, and Ika Grammar School. He further pursued higher education at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. His academic pursuits continued at Temple University in the USA, where he obtained a Master of Education degree, and he later completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Teacher Education in Agriculture at Delta State University.

With a rich tapestry of professional experience, Dr. Tibi has held various prominent positions within educational institutions. He began his career as a lecturer in Agricultural Education and has since ascended to roles such as Provost of the College of Education, Agbor, and Adjunct Reader at Delta State University. His commitment to teaching extends beyond the classroom, as he has supervised numerous postgraduate students, many of whom have progressed to successful academic careers.

Dr. Tibi has actively engaged in community service and educational governance, serving as the Executive Chairman of the Post Primary Education Board in Delta State and contributing to various local government educational authorities. His involvement in professional associations, including the Animal Science Association of Nigeria and the National Association of Agricultural Educators, has further solidified his influence in the field.

Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Dr. Tibi has received numerous awards, including the Best Provost in Nigeria Award and the Delta Role Model Award in 2009. His published works, including articles in national and international journals, reflect his expertise and commitment to improving agricultural education and vocational training.

As an Honorary Professor of Practice in Education, jointly awarded by QAHE and Kennedy University, Dr. Tibi continues to inspire future educators and contribute to the advancement of educational practices in Nigeria and beyond.
