Prestigious Honorary Doctorate Degree for outstanding candidates

Honorary Doctorate Degree is an award jointly issued by International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE) and American University of Business and Social Sciences (AUBSS) to acknowledge and appreciate outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to their community, at both national and international level, and to a specialized field of knowledge and competency. It is also known by the Latin phrases honoris causa (“for the sake of the honor”) or ad honorem (“to the honor”). A person who has already been awarded a PhD within a certain academic area may not be awarded an honorary doctorate in the same area. It is, however, quite possible to appoint a Doctor of Philosophy, for example, to an honorary Doctor of Education and vice versa. The nomination and approval process for honorary degrees is confidential, and all involved in the process must respect this requirement.

 

To be considered, a candidate must have sufficient stature and recognition to ensure that the awarding of an honorary degree enhances the reputation of International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE) and American University of Business and Social Sciences. Recipients of Honorary Doctorate Degrees do not earn the degree through academic achievements; rather they receive these awards based on generous and altruistic actions or lifetime accomplishments that benefit a community, nation, or humanity in general.

 

International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE) has been audited by AQS (United Kingdom) and certified for the Quality Management System according to ISO 9001:2015. Should it become known publicly or otherwise that the degree recipient no longer represents the purpose and mission of QAHE and/or AUBSS or is found to have serious integrity issues, QAHE and/or AUBSS may withdraw the Honorary Degree.

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Khairul Nizam bin Zainal Badri has been awarded with the Honorary Doctorate Degree and Distinguished Professorship Award in Educational Development jointly issued by QAHE and American University of Business and Social Sciences.

Focus and development efforts have always been given to the field of education from the beginning of involvement in the field starting in 1998 until today. There are five areas that are the focus in the development of education, namely psychology, history, information technology, management and human capital development. Developments in the area of psychology involve research on the comparison of thought and ideology related to the development of human potential. Among the studies conducted are on the contributions of important figures in the Malay world related to the development of human potential. Also included in the study is a study of old books that describe methods or techniques to develop human potential. In the area of history, the focus of research is given to the study of Malay-Islamic civilization and its impact and relevance to the development of Malay-Islamic intellectuals today. The next area of concern is information technology. This part is very important because it not only supports education but also empowers it. State-of-the-art technologies such as blockchain have always been on the radar of research and have already been translated into writing for periodicals at the domestic level. The management part is at the heart of the life of an institution where continuous research needs to be done all the time. Research focus has been given to selected management methods. The last part is the development of human capital to be the output or yardstick to the success of an institution. The research focus in the section is on development models that have been applied by leading institutions particularly in the Southeast Asian region. In short, the experience of direct education from pre-school to tertiary education has sparked many inspirations that have been translated into writing that covers various formats such as bulletins, journals, periodicals, magazines and books; both domestically and abroad.

Khairul Nizam bin Zainal Badri, PhD

1998 – 2007 – Involved in the field of higher education teaching either full time or part time. Has been involved in the preparation of modules (reference text) and question papers for examinations for pre[1]diploma, diploma and degree levels.

2008 – Present Established the Al-Mansoorah Integrated Learning Centre which offers pre-school to secondary education and daily tahfiz. To develop a curriculum based on the development of potential and human capital where the focus is on the introduction and appreciation of the Quran and Hadith. Provides Ma’abad modules for pre-school and primary levels or anyone who has difficulty reading and remembering numbers by combining psychomotor, affective and cognitive domains simultaneously. Establish a private library for the Al-Mansoorah Integrated Learning Centre which serves as a place of reference and research.

Research has been done from the aspects of;

  1. the excavation of educational practices such as pedagogy and learning methods that have been practiced in the Islamic education system during the era of Islamic civilization reached its peak of glory.
  2. an understanding of true philosophy that encompasses the dimensions and domains of science
  3. appreciation and nurturing of manners in teaching and learning with the aim of understanding in understanding the realities of life and the real purpose of education.
  4. Emphasis on the historiography of Islamic civilization with the aim of increasing motivation among students to develop their potential
  5. Introduction to core knowledge by placing monotheism as the basis of life where the most important appreciation in life is by creating love for God and His Messenger which then leads to a sense of responsibility and doing good to fellow creatures and nature.

We are glad to announce that P P Wangchuk (S/O Mr Nawang Jungnes) has been awarded with the Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) in Mass Communication jointly issued by QAHE and AUBSS. P P Wangchuk, S/O Mr Nawang Jungnes, is a New Delhi-based columnist, editor-at-large, and a professional speaker. He has worked with Hindustan Times, India’s No. 1 single-edition newspaper, for 34 years, in various key positions. He has written hundreds of articles on national and international politics, business, literature and philosophy. Wangchuk has also lectured, and still doing, at several universities and institutions. He is the winner of many awards, including ‘Excellence’ and ‘Outstanding’ awards in writing and editing news and views. He is also an awardee of ‘Roll of Honour’ for academic excellence, Panjab University, where, as a student, he was the representative of the ‘Top Students’ in the university Council. All through the past few decades, Wangchuk has also been an active participant in seminars and conferences. Widely travelled, his first hobby is to go around within and outside the country with a ‘discovery-zeal and mission’. Currently, besides sharing his time with his regular columns, he is also working on a book that is likely to come out soon. Wangchuk is also Advisor to several institutions, and he takes keen interest in their overall good performance.

Accreditation Committee for Education and Training – MORE THAN JUST HIGHER EDUCATION

 

In order to extend our services to cover the quality assurance of education in various levels, QAHE has set up a new branch of Accreditation Committee for Education and Training. This branch is set up to enhance the accreditation services for different Kindergarten, Academy, Secondary School, High School, Vocational School and Training Colleges and Corporations. This extension would require support from the Members of the Association by signing up for voluntary honorary director in these areas.

 

The accreditation process for Kindergarten, Academy, Secondary School, Tutorial centers, Professional Tutors, High School, Vocational School and Training Colleges and Corporations (”Schools”) shall be similar to those for higher education institutions. We would need to review your website, leaflet, brochure, key staff’s CVs, curriculum and some sample materials, etc.

 

The fee for accrediting the above Schools would be similar to the one for accrediting higher education institutions. The range is around US$600-US$1,000 depends on the size and the scale of inspection. We charge such nominal accreditation fee is mainly because we would like to keep accreditation affordable and at the same time, we definitely need your monetary support to advance and develop for mutual benefits. We assume those honorary directors in various countries or regions would definitely promote QAHE’s accreditation service worldwide. We expect drastic growth of QAHE and their accredited institutions.

Individual tutors, lecturers and professors may be interested in joining us and being appointed as Distinguished Tutor Award, Distinguished Lecturer Award and Distinguished Professorship Award.   1. Send you an invoice for Inspection Fee of US$200 [Waivable for institutions which are accredited by other agencies];
  2. Upon the payment of the Inspection Fee, you will be our Accreditation Candidate, a Candidacy Accredited Logo will be sent to you (The Candidacy Status shall be expired in 3 months if full accreditation has not been achieved);
  3. Start the website and documentary inspection;
  4. After the detailed assessment and evaluation, we will inform you whether your application is successful or not;
  5. If you are eligible to our full accreditation, invoice of accreditation (US$600) shall be sent.
  6. Accredited Logo and Accreditation Certificate and Report in digital format will be sent via Email upon confirmation of payment.

The PCP is intended to be a defining document for our profession – it outlines what we believe to be the key characteristics, qualifications, and role of Evaluators and Senior Evaluators. The CSCSS is the largest non-government non-governmental organization for the certification and analysis of international students returning to China; its director has a certain influence on students studying abroad in China; since 2009, he has been the deputy director of the Education Strategy Development Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Chinese government. Accreditation Committee for Education and Training – MORE THAN JUST HIGHER EDUCATION

In order to extend our services to cover the quality assurance of education in various levels, QAHE has set up a new branch of Accreditation Committee for Education and Training. This branch is set up to enhance the accreditation services for different Kindergarten, Academy, Secondary School, High School, Vocational School and Training Colleges and Corporations. This extension would require support from the Members of the Association by signing up for voluntary honorary director in these areas.

 

The accreditation process for Kindergarten, Academy, Secondary School, Tutorial centers, Professional Tutors, High School, Vocational School and Training Colleges and Corporations (”Schools”) shall be similar to those for higher education institutions. We would need to review your website, leaflet, brochure, key staff’s CVs, curriculum and some sample materials, etc.

 

The fee for accrediting the above Schools would be similar to the one for accrediting higher education institutions. The range is around US$600-US$1,000 depends on the size and the scale of inspection. We charge such nominal accreditation fee is mainly because we would like to keep accreditation affordable and at the same time, we definitely need your monetary support to advance and develop for mutual benefits. We assume those honorary directors in various countries or regions would definitely promote QAHE’s accreditation service worldwide. We expect drastic growth of QAHE and their accredited institutions.

QAHE Fellowship

Becoming a Fellow of QAHE

 

The FQAHE credential exists to foster the professional growth and development of higher education, promote high standards and best practices in educational services, and establish and maintain students’ confidence in the ability and integrity of their educators. Conferred on educators who meet specific academic and practice requirements, the FQAHE credential can only be used by Fellows in good standing with the International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE). The FQAHE credential is not an honor that should be discarded lightly; members are expected to engage in QAHE activities and remain financially current with their membership dues in order to continue to use the designation. Once membership lapses, an educator is no longer legally allowed to display FQAHE after their name in any context. The designation is the exclusive intellectual property of the QAHE. Misuse of the FQAHE designation by nonmembers is pursued by the QAHE.

 

The International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education admits to its Fellowship only those educators whose professional activity is devoted to teaching practice and who agree without compromise to practice by the professional and ethical standards of the Association.

 

The standards of practice established and demanded by the International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education are contained in the website. All Fellows of the Association and applicants for Fellowship are expected to adhere to these standards.

 

Educators voluntarily submit applications for Fellowship. In so doing, they are inviting an evaluation of their practice by the Award Commitee.

 

In evaluating the eligibility of applicants for Fellowship, the Association investigates each applicant’s teaching practice. Applicants for Fellowship are required to provide to the appointed committees of the Association all information deemed necessary for the review and evaluation of their teaching practice.

We are glad to announce that Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management is now fully accredited by International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE). The Institute was founded by a number of people from the profession, who recognised the need to develop standards in Supply Chain Management practices as well as increase the number of trained and qualified personnel who were required in a rapidly developing country. They formulated structured training programmes and assisted the institutions of learning in designing courses for their professional scheme curriculum. The Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management (CISCM) has joined the Public Procurement Authority to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Commerce Edge Advisory Services of South Africa to provide a comprehensive Certification and Licensing Programme for Public Procurement Practitioners in Ghana. The Institute, currently the only professional body in Ghana championing the training and certification of Supply Chain Professionals was represented by Mr. Fred Kukah, Mrs. Hannah Boahemaa Otu, who are members of the working team of the Institute, Miss Yayra Ahelegbe from the CISCM Secretariat and Mr Richard Asante-Amoah a Council member of the Institute and a Management Consultant.

  • hold influential roles to effect change to support the mission of the QAHE

Dr. Ehi Eric Esoimeme Esq., Doctorate in Financial Crimes (H.C), LLB. BL., LLM., ICA., CAMC., CCO., CPRM., CRA., FGAFM., FCACC., FIMC., CMC. is the Managing Partner of E-Four and AAF (a global consultancy firm that also offers training and education to financial institutions and designated non-financial businesses and professions on anti-money laundering compliance). Dr. Ehi Eric Esoimeme is also concurrently an Accredited Training Partner at the Global Academy of Finance and Management (GAFM), the Editor in Chief of DSC Publications Ltd. and the Director of Engagement and Outreach and Senior Trainer at the Singapore Financial Crime Compliance Association (SFCCA) for Africa & Nigeria. Dr. Ehi Eric Esoimeme’s second book titled “The Risk-Based Approach to Combating Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing” was rated as the #5 best money laundering book of all time by Financial Expert in its 2021 refresh of the rankings. The book also became a bestseller on Amazon for banking law.

 

Dr. Ehi Eric Esoimeme received a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Lagos and holds a master’s degree in International Commercial Law with specialization in international banking law and anti-money laundering compliance from Cardiff University. On 11 May 2022, Dr. Ehi Eric Esoimeme was awarded with the Honorary Doctorate Degree in Financial Crimes by the American University of Business and Social Sciences and the International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education.

 

Dr. Ehi Eric Esoimeme is a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, a senior member of the Risk Management Association of Nigeria, a certified anti-money laundering consultant, a certified anti-corruption consultant, a certified risk analyst and project risk manager, a fellow of the GAFM, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and a fellow of the International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals Inc., USA.

We are glad to announce that Prof. Cyprian F. Edward-Ekpo has been awarded with our accredited Pebble Hills University’s Distinguished Professorship Award. Cyprian Edward-Ekpo is Registrar of International Institute for Humanitarian & Environmental Law, and legal researcher, scholar and human rights advocate nominated to serve as the proterm-Director of the newly formed Institute of Law Research and Development of United Nations (Non-profit). He is the Managing Director / Dean of Research in Multi Intelligence Development Company, a firm of consultants in oil and gas law, environmental law, intellectual property, education consultancy and publishing. He also serves currently as Consultant to the Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria (CIPMN). A man noted for his insight into reality of multi-dimensional and prolific writings, is an author of books and several scholarly / media articles. He is an editorial board member and reader of three legal publications in the United Kingdom and Africa.

 

He has worked with law institutions as a research fellow, faculty member, team leader and consultant. Between 2012-2018, he served as advisor to the Senate Committee on Environmental & Ecology, Federal Republic of Nigeria, amongst several other agencies, as well as private corporate entities. He has authored insightful and thought-provoking books and articles, among which he is the lead-author of the masterpiece, a 1045 pages Book titled “ENVIRONMENTAL LAW: HUMAN RIGHTS AND GLOBALIZATION – DEVELOPMENT AND DYNAMICS” (Hard Cover, ISBN 978-978-900-152-1). He also authors “The World as He Saw It: Mystery and Idiosyncrasy Conceptualizing My Grandfather” and “ The Travails of a Tormented Rose” .

 

His other works in the making include, “Budgeting Good Governance: Democracy and Human Rights Dimension”, “The Dimensions of Environmental Law”, “The Loss of Republic, the De[1]democratization of Nigeria”, “Environmental Law and Sustainable Development: Policy Options Implementation and Enforcement Strategies for Nigeria”, “The Evils of Sovereignty“, “International Human Rights Law and the Environment: The Sticky Elements”, “ Six Decades a Missing President : Why Nigeria Fails”, “ Judgment Enfacement : Prospects and Problems”, and “Law in Tears : Lego-Nihilism and the Decimation of Judicial Supremacy”. Edward-Ekpo has presented innumerable papers, especially on human rights, environment, development and legal issues, and has participated as a scholar, initiator, contributor, coordinator and organizer in seminars, workshops, summits and conferences at national and international levels. To mention but a few, he Coordinated the International Summit on Niger Delta Environment, Economic Development & Human Rights, a program organized by the Senate Committee on Environment & Ecology, Federal Republic of Nigeria in Collaboration with International Society of Environmental Geotechnologists, University of California, UNESCO’s Regional Office for Africa, and the International Institute for Humanitarian & Environmental Law, held on November 2010 at the Ministry of Justice, Port Harcourt, Nigeria, and the ECOTECH Climate Change Program “program of the Senate Committee on Environment & Ecology, UNESCO regional Office for Africa and International Institute for Humanitarian & Environmental Law (ISHERL) held in December 2011 and chaired by Professor Hilary Inyang, Duke Energy Distinguished Professor of Environmental Engineering & Science , Former Technical Judge of U.S Nuclear Regulatory Commission & formerly Technical Committee Chair , Science Advisory Board of U.S Environmental Protection Agency.

 

Cyprian Edward-Ekpo has written several scholarly and lecture articles, amongst many which is the one widely cited in scholarly works, titled “CONFIGURATION OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO ENHANCE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA- LEGAL AND INSTITUTIONAL PARADIGMS” available at https://www.academia.edu. Distinguished Professor Sir, Dr. Christopher Oyat (Management and Training) is a Ugandan academic and professional who has climbed the ladder systematically and commendably well. He holds a Bachelor degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University (Kampala); a Master of Arts degree in Development Studies from Uganda Martyrs University; a Doctor of Letters Degree (Business Organization with a specialization in Community Organizations) from St Clements University; a PhD in Management from The Business University of Costa Rica; a Doctor of Science degree in Management and Business Research (Ad Eundem) from Ballsbridge University; a PhD in Development Studies from Prowess University (USA); and a Honorary PhD in Management from IIC University of Technology (Cambodia). He has successfully supervised researches of over 140 undergraduate students to completion at Gulu University; successfully supervised 48 Master Degree students’ postgraduate researches to completion in Uganda; has successfully supervised / reviewed / examined 4 (four) thesis of PhD students to completion; and successfully evaluated two candidates for promotion to full Professorships. Distinguished Professor Sir, Dr. Christopher Oyat is a renowned Consultant in Uganda who has executed over 15 Consultancies, with the main focus on Civil Society Organizations. We are glad to announce that Prof. Dr. Wasajja Kiwanuka has been appointed as our Regional Director (East Africa)

We are glad to announce that Prof. Dr. Wasajja Kiwanuka has been appointed as our Regional Director (East Africa). Prof. Wasajja acquired his first higher education certificates from Uganda; attending the prestigious public universities of Makerere University and Kyambogo University before joining Kampala University. His undergraduate research project and first literature project were published before his graduation. Similarly, his research dissertation; “The English Communicative Needs among International Students” which was published 2019 won him several accolades and was finally published as a book by Kampala University. In 2011, when he had just started his PhD, his profile was added on the International Linguistic List making him the first Ugandan to appear on that list.

 

For the last 10 years, Prof. Wasajja has established himself as a vanguard in English Languages, Education, Media and Communication studies.  He has worked in Kampala University and Kampala International University holding several academic and administrative portfolios as Head of Department for Language Department, Director of Distance and In-service Education, Deputy Director of Research and Academic Registrar.  As a Visiting Professor of St. Laurence University, the East African University, Rwanda and the East African University, Kitengera, Kenya, he has contributed to the development of the Education and Language Curricula in all those East African higher Education Institutions.

 

The compass of his education and experience outlines Prof. Wasajja’s modest contribution to the education and Communication Sector. In 2014, after finalizing his PhD, he developed an educational model from his PhD thesis leading to the creation of the first Open University in Uganda, the Royal Open University. The institution has so far helped over 250 community members, mostly youth with disabilities, to acquire education through remote learning. In 2017, Prof. Wasajja presented a paper in the Commonwealth Youth Minister’s Meeting entitled “Inclusive Education for Youth with Disabilities: Exploring the Online Model” and in the same year, he presented a similar paper; “A Dawn to New Reality in Uganda Education: The Transition Experience to Online Learning” which was published in the East African Quality Assurance Journal 2017.

 

Prof. Wasajja has to his credit over 50 publications in National and International Academic journals, conferences proceedings, books and book chapters as well as other periodicals. He has attended conferences and presented papers in Europe, USA and Asia. He is the author of; Students Communication Skills Handbook 1 which is officially used in most East African Institutions and has since sold over 1 Million copies worldwide; Communication Tools for Nurse: Therapeutic Communication and many others. He is also the founder and Executive Director of the Centre for Language Solutions, a registered International language training and testing center in Kigali, Rwanda.

 

Prof. Wasajja joined University of Kigali in 2018 and has since assisted in the establishment of the School of Communication and Journalism where he has so far designed six (6) curricula and became the School’s first Dean. He has also served as Director for the university’s Centre for Modern Languages and as a Director for University Communication. He recently developed two English Curricula at Kigali Independent University, Rwanda.

Professor Joyce Bukirwa Rebecca Sessanga is a female Ugandan and a Professor of Educational Psychology. She holds a PhD in Educational Psychology, Masters degree in Educational Psychology, a Bachelor of Science  with Education in Chemistry and Mathematics and a Diploma in Guidance and Counseling. She is a publisher and a well accomplished professional with a sound personality and a high  level of  self drive. She has  a vast experience in teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  Her main objective as an academic is to promote the image of training institutions through research and to improve the processes of teaching and learning in institutions by embracing new innovations suitable for the 21st Century.  In addition to supervising students in research, she is also an external examiner for some Universities in Uganda.

The Asia Pacific School of Business was founded in 1995, formerly known as Kijen Academy, English name: The Asia Pacific School of Business, referred to as APSB, adheres to the purpose of “integrating Chinese and Western, knowledge and action” and is committed to cultivating business professionals’ higher education institutions. The Asia Pacific School of Business is a joint undergraduate (remote) and master (remote) granting unit authorized by the Graduate School of Business Administration of Hannam University in Korea. It also has the right to grant associate degrees. It has passed the EduTrust certification of the Singapore Council for Private Education A study abroad institution accredited by the Singapore and New Zealand and Cayman Islands Ministry of Education and Embassy. It has successively become the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU), the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE ) , member institutions of the Association of Universities of Asia and The Pacific (AUAP) and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Edu-Cation organization (SEAMEO). QAHE and China Beijing Institute of Credit Information Science for International Students (CSCSS) have reached an MOU to recognize each other reciprocally

The CSCSS is the largest non-government non-governmental organization for the certification and analysis of international students returning to China; its director has a certain influence on students studying abroad in China; since 2009, he has been the deputy director of the Education Strategy Development Committee of the Ministry of Education of the Chinese government. The chairman unit includes retired government officials from the Ministry of Education.

We are pleased to welcome Prof. Eze C. Nwauba for joining International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE) as the Country Director (Nigeria). Prof. Eze C. Nwauba is a Professor of Intrapreneurship, and Adjunct Faculty at Prowess University, USA; he is an Adjunct Professor of Public Administration at IBLT University, Togo, and a Visiting Professor at ESTG University Republic of Benin. Nwauba is the Director, School of Part-time Studies Legacy University Okija, Nigeria, and the Registrar; Institute of Arts Management & Professional Studies, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Ambrose Alli University (AAU-Nigeria). Over the last 15 years, Nwauba has taught on a wide range of open and tailored programmes at Madonna University, Okija, Imo State University (ICEP), and other academic institutions including Tansian University (School of Economics) Umunya, Nigeria, ISTAG Benin University, Republic of Benin (Dean Management Faculty), Courage University, Republic of Benin, and The Nobel International Business School, Accra-Ghana. He was also an Adjunct Faculty, Lorma Colleges, San Fernando City, La Union, Philippines.

 

Nwauba is a Fellow of Chartered Entrepreneur Management of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Arts Management & Professionals, USA, African Professional Managers, Chartered Institute of Mentoring and Coaching, Nigeria, and Institute of Business Education. Besides, he is a Member Editorial Board of Pan-African Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (PAJHSS); Editorial Consultant of International Journal of The Age of Reasoning (IJAR); Managing Editor of International Journal of Arts Management & Professional Studies (IJAMPS); Member Reviewer Committee of Emirate Association of Arts Management Professionals (EAAMP), UAE; Member (DEAC Community) of Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), Washington; and a Reviewer of International Journal of Scientific Research and Management (IJSRM). WSE is the world’s leading ‘Degree Assessed’ and ‘Blockchain Storage’ institution. They are committed to helping people around the world solve education evaluation and data storage problems. One of WSE’s goals is to “Develop and Promote Common Standards.” The Professional Competency Profile for Credential Evaluators (PCP) and the Guide to Credential Evaluation (‘Guide’) represent important statements regarding our profession and are the result of two years of dedicated work by the WSE Committee for Standards. The PCP is intended to be a defining document for our profession – it outlines what we believe to be the key characteristics, qualifications, and role of Evaluators and Senior Evaluators. The ‘Guide’ represents a common framework for evaluating credentials that should be a standard for evaluators whether they work in an agency or institutional setting. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2022 Distinguished Professorship Award jointly issued by International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE) and American University of Business and Social Sciences.

 

The QAHE Distinguished Professorship Awards are the most prestigious and highest award given by the QAHE to persons of long distinguished service to higher education and specific professional areas. QAHE Awards will be given lifetime membership to the QAHE and will be invited to submit a personal profile and a photo in business/academic attire to be published in QAHE website (Optional). Nominators are asked to submit a current CV of the nominee and a 1-page statement addressing the nominee’s contributions to higher education. Any questions regarding this award can be submitted by email at awards@qahe.org. The name, photo and profile of the Professors will be listed in QAHE website (Society for Higher Education Professionals section).

 

Besides nomination, we would also consider direct application/self-nomination. I am an ordained clergy of the year 2001 rating. So have been useful in the Vineyard of the Almighty God for 21 years now. However my giant stride in Kingdom Service started about the year 1991/1992, so I celebrate 30 years of devotedness to God and his Kingdom works. The above is where I find the platform to stand. This has brought me into diverse accomplishments, not only as a Pioneer Head of Station in a World Class Ministry, but also in other Local and International terrains. I started my University Teaching career as a graduate Assistant in the year 2006 and has since risen to the rank of Senior Lecturer. I am a Mathematician, Educationist, and a Biomedical Engineer trained in the United Kingdom. I am a Peer-Reviewed elected Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics, and Its Applications (FIMA), United Kingdom. Elected Fellow Institute of Management Consultant (FIMC), Nigeria, and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes through the Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria (IMC- Nigeria). I have served twice as resource person for the FGN Millennium Development Goal’s Project for retraining if teachers in Nigeria. I have been member of review Panel for the FGN Millennium Development Goal’s Project holden at Enugu in 2006. I have authored one book on differential equations, have carried out a comprehensive research on gait tracking medical device company establishment, a comprehensive research in Renewable Energy farm establishment, and a comprehensive research in Car Rental service. I am author of over 11 wholesome articles in reputable peer-reviewed Journals. I have served at the national level as Director of student’s Affairs for the Nigeria Fallen Heroes Project 2016 Ministry of Defense/ Nigerian Legion through Tradewise Concepts Ltd. Course Accreditation for individual courses/programs of the accredited institutions

We are implementing Course Accreditation for individual courses/programs of the accredited institutions. The course accreditation system gives accreditation to courses offered by training institutes, universities, colleges and other vocational or educational institutions, which meet the requirements of International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE) for Continuing Professional Development points (QAHE CPD). This course accreditation service is only available for our accredited institutions. Once your course is accredited by QAHE, we will dedicate a branded webpage at our website to display QAHE Certificate ID, students’ name, course completed and result for their verification purposes. Your certificate can also display QAHE Validated Logo and a unique QAHE Certificate ID. We understand that Accredited institutions may display our logo of accreditation on their certificates/diplomas, however, it does not signify that the respective course is officially validated by QAHE. Only Courses which are accredited by QAHE can display QAHE Validated Logo on their certificates/diplomas and their students’ information could be verified at our website. We will announce the list of accredited courses at our website after gathering the sufficient information from the relevant accredited institutions’ applications.

 

Only accredited higher education providers can apply for accreditation of higher education courses. QAHE accreditation focuses on course content; course duration; teaching staff and student resources. Once accreditation is granted, the course will be added to the QAHE website and providers may use the QAHE Validated logo in their marketing material and certificates/diplomas. Once accredited, providers are monitored to ensure that students continue to receive good service and are re-assessed at least once every annually. Formal accreditation of courses by the QAHE will not only recognize the quality and good standing of courses, but it will also provide automatic membership/certified award eligibility for graduates who had completed QAHE accredited courses.

Adjustment of accreditation fee

For the furtherance of promoting accreditation standards based on our increasing number of accredited institutions, we unavoidably have to adjust our service fees after all these years. The new inspection and accreditation fees will be effective since 1st June 2022 depending on the level of qualifications awarded by the institution, number of branches of the institution, the size of the institution, the location(s) of the Institutions and the institutions’ existing accreditation status. We restate that International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (QAHE) is a voluntary, non-governmental, membership association that is dedicated to quality assurance and improvement through accreditation. The Re-accreditation process (Annual renewal) requires payment of re-accreditation fee and if necessary, re-evaluation may be required. Please contact us at accreditation@qahe.org for any questions.

Administrative Handling Fee for the Honorary Doctorate Degree is just US$1,200 to support the services of the Association. Complaint Against Accredited Institutions

While the International Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, like other accrediting agencies worldwide, is interested in assuring that accredited programs maintain their quality and continue to meet QAHE standards, neither QAHE nor its Accreditation Committee is a mediator for consumer complaints against institutions or programs of study. QAHE is an accrediting body, not a regulator or an appellate panel for student or faculty grievances. Our Accreditation Committee will accept and evaluate complaints against accredited programs in connection with annual review of program conformity or reaccreditation processes where there are serious allegations that a program may not be in conformity with QAHE standards.

Dr. Quang Duy Luong is a clinical practitioner specializing in therapeutic radiography who believes that patients should be a priority in medicine. His research interest focuses mainly on biomedical engineering, nanoinformatics, and onco-nanotechnology. In public health, he has published first-of-its-kind research on patient safety in Vietnam in International Surgery. He holds a BSc(Hons) in Molecular Medicine and Biochemistry from the University of Essex before achieving an MSc in Oncology from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and a Postgraduate Certificate in Internal Medicine and Ph.D. in Cancer from the University of Edinburgh. Besides, he also completed other studies at the master’s level in research methods and medical imaging science from James Cook University and the University of Sydney.

QAHE Honorary Fellowships, Honorary Doctorate and Honorary Professorship will be given lifetime membership to the QAHE and will be invited to submit a paper on a topic of their choice to be published in QAHE website (Optional). Nominators are asked to upload a current CV of the nominee and a 1-page letter addressing the nominee’s contributions to higher education. Any questions regarding this award can be submitted by email at awards@qahe.org. The name, photo and profile of the Honorary Fellows and Professors will be listed in QAHE website (Society for Higher Education Professionals section).

 

Besides nomination, we would also consider direct application/self-nomination. You’ll need to submit your CV and a 1-page profile that demonstrates that you fulfil at least two of the nine Fellowship criteria: creativity, enterprise, innovation, insight and experience, leadership, repute, responsibility, service, and influence and contribution.

 

Society for Higher Education Professionals (SHEP) honors world-class managers, educators and professors for their outstanding achievement and contribution to higher education. Furthermore, SHEP celebrates the great achievements of talented faculty and institutions through a variety of awards and recognitions worldwide. We encourage institutions to award their professors in their own graduation ceremonies. Awardees can use SHEP Certified Logo and Titles (HonFQAHE/HonProfQAHE)  for their Websites, Brochures, CVs and Business Cards.

 

The nominal administrative fee of US$1,000, $1,200 and US$800 will be charged for Honorary Fellowship, Honorary Doctorate and Honorary Professorship respectively to support the operation and accreditation services of QAHE.

PROF. WASAJJA JAMES FOR BEING AWARDED OF DISTINGUISHED PROFESSORSHIP AWARD

Congratulations to Prof. Wasajja James for being awarded of Distinguished Professorship Award (Language and Communication) by Pebble Hills University.

 

Dr. Wasajja acquired his first higher education certificates from Uganda; attending the prestigious public universities of Makerere University and Kyambogo University before joining Kampala University. His undergraduate research project and first literature project were published before his graduation. Similarly, his research dissertation; “The English Communicative Needs among International Students” which was published 2019 won him several accolades and was finally published as a book by Kampala University. In 2011, when he had just started his PhD, his profile was added on the International Linguistic List making him the first Ugandan to appear on that list.

 

For the last 10 years, Dr. Wasajja has established himself as a vanguard in English Languages, Education, Media and Communication studies.  He has worked in Kampala University and Kampala International University holding several academic and administrative portfolios as Head of Department for Language Department, Director of Distance and In-service Education, Deputy Director of Research and Academic Registrar.  As a Visiting Professor of St. Laurence University, the East African University, Rwanda and the East African University, Kitengera, Kenya, he has contributed to the development of the Education and Language Curricula in all those East African higher Education Institutions.

 

The compass of his education and experience outlines Dr. Wasajja’s modest contribution to the education and Communication Sector. In 2014, after finalizing his PhD, he developed an educational model from his PhD thesis leading to the creation of the first Open University in Uganda, the Royal Open University. The institution has so far helped over 250 community members, mostly youth with disabilities, to acquire education through remote learning. In 2017, Dr. Wasajja presented a paper in the Commonwealth Youth Minister’s Meeting entitled “Inclusive Education for Youth with Disabilities: Exploring the Online Model” and in the same year, he presented a similar paper; “A Dawn to New Reality in Uganda Education: The Transition Experience to Online Learning” which was published in the East African Quality Assurance Journal 2017.

 

Dr. Wasajja has to his credit over 50 publications in National and International Academic journals, conferences proceedings, books and book chapters as well as other periodicals. He has attended conferences and presented papers in Europe, USA and Asia. He is the author of; Students Communication Skills Handbook 1 which is officially used in most East African Institutions and has since sold over 1 Million copies worldwide; Communication Tools for Nurse: Therapeutic Communication and many others. He is also the founder and Executive Director of the Centre for Language Solutions, a registered International language training and testing center in Kigali, Rwanda.

 

Dr. Wasajja joined University of Kigali in 2018 and has since assisted in the establishment of the School of Communication and Journalism where he has so far designed six (6) curricula and became the School’s first Dean. He has also served as Director for the university’s Centre for Modern Languages and as a Director for University Communication. He recently developed two English Curricula at Kigali Independent University, Rwanda.
